Bungo Stray Dogs (文豪ストレイドッグス Bungō Sutorei Doggusu, lit. Literary Stray Dogs?) is the anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name. It is produced by Studio BONES and has premiered on Tokyo MX and other TV networks.[1] Takuya Igarashi was hired as the director and Yoji Enokido as the screenwriter (the same duo that worked on Ouran High School Host Club and Star Driver).[2][3] The anime ran for 2 separate cours, with the first cour airing from April 7th 2016 to June 23rd, 2016 and the second cour airing from October 6th, 2016 to December 17, 2016. [1] The third course is slated for 12 April 2019.[3]
GRANRODEO (of which Kisho Taniyama, Chuya Nakahara's voice actor, is the lead singer) performed Trash Candy, the 1st opening song, while SCREEN mode performed Reason Living, the 2nd opening song, and Luck Life performed the 1st ending song, Call My Name (名前を呼ぶよ, Namae o Yobu yo) and the 2nd ending song, Town where wind blows (風が吹く街, Kaze ga Fuku Machi).[4][5][6] GRANRODEO and Luck Life return for the third season's opening and ending respectively.[3]
