Chapter 8 is the eighth chapter of the Bungo Stray Dogs (Vertical Comic).

Summary

:The detonator gets stolen from the bomber's hand.

Dazai signals Kunikida. Kunikida then declares that he's going to use a page from his notebook and he'd hate it to be in vain. He then activates his ability, The Matchless Poet, and summons a wire gun. Using the manifested wire gun, Kunikida steals the detonator from the bomber's hand. After securing the detonator, Kunikida kicks and bomber's face and restrains him. Dazai then concludes the event a wrap.

Atsushi covers the bomb with his body.

Meanwhile, Atsushi is relieved to see the timer in the bomb to have stopped. Dazai gives him the good job sign during the aftermath. However, someone suddenly pushes Atsushi from behind causing him to accidentally push the detonator's bomb, causing the bomb to begin countdown from 5 seconds. Atsushi panics including the other agency staff who see it. Not sure what to do, Atsushi contemplates if the bomb is going off and he needs to find something to cover up the bomb. He then covers the bomb with the bbody with 2 seconds left while Dazai shouts at him. As the countdown reaches to zero, Atsushi closes his eyes and continues to cover the bomb.
