Hero War, Gang War, Final Part (HERO WAR, GANG WAR 後篇, HERO WAR, GANG WAR, Kōhen?) is the 90th chapter of the Bungo Stray Dogs manga.
Summary[]
With Tachihara unexpectedly stabbed from behind, Fukuchi explains that he utilized Shintō Amenogozen to cut into the past in order to leave a "T"-shaped mark to notify his past self of an impending emergency. Afterwards, Fukuchi has stabbed Shintō Amenogozen into the future, which thereby attacks Tachihara, whom he has lured into the spot in front of the code mark. Fukuchi also blinds Tachihara to prevent him from further using his metal manipulation ability. Tachihara urges Fukuchi to kill him rather than have him, a mafioso, begging for life.
Fukuchi clarifies his motive as a member of the Decay of the Angel rather someone who kills indiscriminately. He enlightens Tachihara that angels – the highest rank of beings who surpass humans and rarely suffer during their long lives – nevertheless suffer 16 times worse than torture in their death, hence calling it as the "decay of angels". He also likens angels to politicians, the "heavenly beings" whom others below them cannot ever reach. As such, Fukuchi, the "decay of the angels" himself, deems them worthy to die painfully and be reborn.
While Tachihara is not amused with his motive, Fukuchi brings out Bram from his coffin, telling Tachihara how their last step requires control over half of the world's nations, which Bram estimates shall be accomplished within four more days. Tachihara believes it cannot actually be possible, but he soon realizes and recalls that Fukuchi's ability can increase any weapon's efficiency by a hundredfold. As Fukuchi bids Tachihara to serve his commander again as a vampire, the mafioso slides out a blade and prepares to kill himself, but Fukuchi instantly stops him with his hands. Bram then bites him and presumably turns him into his kind.
Four days until X Day, a vampire heads to an airport, which soon spreads the infection-type ability overseas. In the Republic of Nares, when the central command center suffers an attack from fellow troops, they are suspiciously ordered by their Ministry of Defense to disarm themselves. The young prince, who turns out to be undead, approaches the troops' commander and bites him. Later, the turned commander instructs his troops to disarm and cease all military functions as initially ordered.
The United Nations secretary-general is handed a notice of the Republic of Nares's withdrawal from their security council. Although his subordinate panics at their latest intel, the secretary-general calmly asks him to leave it on his desk full of what appear to be various other similar notices of withdrawal. He shakingly ponders on Fukuchi's foreboding words back at the council that quite appear similar to the recent attack strategies of the new era's terrorists. In order to combat such evil, the secretary-general decides to request the Order of the Clock Tower to release their ability weapon, One Order.
