At the Portway to the Sky,Part 6 (空ノ港二テ其の陸, Sora no Minato nite Sono Riku?) is the 97th chapter of the Bungo Stray Dogs manga.
Synopsis[]
The airport is sealed, cutting off Aya’s hopes of escape and shaking her confidence. And meanwhile, Gogol sets the stage for Dazai and Dostoevsky to compete in a deadly game…![1]
Summary[]
Aya escapes together with Bram. After finding out that Bram is not present at his coffin and being unable to initiate the vampire infection without Bram, Fukuchi gathers all the vampires and orders them to blockade the airport, find Bram, and kill the culprit, whom he thinks is an ally of Jōno.
Meanwhile back at Meursault, Gogol presents Fyodor and Dazai two lethal poisons which should be injected upon themselves and explains that whoever escapes the facility first gets to have the antidote. Fyodor and Dazai soon delightfully inject the lethal poison to themselves, commencing the start of the escape game.
At the airport, all exits are blocked as an emergency warning is announced. Aya and Bram hide in order for them not to be seen by the airport security. As they are hiding, Bram orders Aya to leave but the latter refuses to do and proceeds in trying to remove Bram's Holy Sword Soluz Levni attached to him. After unsuccessfully removing the sword, Bram reveals that the sword is attached all way to his brain, hence it's too painful to be removed. On the other hand, Aya urges to Bram to do something otherwise the world will be in chaos. However, Bram just describes Aya as a naïve lady.
As a result, Aya sulks and tells Bram that she only has determination in herself - to not run away when a crime rises. Bram asks her the reason she fights even though she is just a child. Aya didn't answer him but instead she remembers the time she was hit by her father for not being able to act like a proper woman like her mother and calls her a failure as a woman.
Aya continues to persistently ask for Bram's help in order for her to be able to save everyone's lives, even offers him to give him anything he wants. Bram then reveals that he wants a radio. As Aya didn't have it, she instead pulls out her phone and gives it to Bram, much to the latter's amazement of the thing.
Gogol proceeds to explain the rules to Fyodor and Dazai including the structure of the prison, security personnel, how the cells in each floor are locked, elevator system, and the result if some suspects are detected by the personnel. However, after hearing the obstacles and possible death when cornered by the security, Fyodor and Dazai just smiles.
Gogol then calls for the assistance of Sigma. Shortly after, Sigma presents a table with four items. Gogol tells that both Fyodor and Dazai are allowed to bring one item in their escape from the facility. He then explains the item and it's function: a) a walkie talkie used by patrolling guards, b) keycard, c) RDG1800, the explosive coins, and d) a satellite phone. Fyodor then proceeds to choose his weapon and chooses the keycard. Meanwhile, Dazai points to Sigma as his weapon for escape, much to everyone's shock.
