If I May Shed Away My Burden Now (若し今日の荷物を降ろして善いのなら, Moshi Kyō no Nimotsu o Oroshite Yoi no Nara?) is the final episode of Bungo Stray Dogs anime series' second cour. It aired on December 17, 2016.

Synopsis[]

Atsushi and Akutagawa fail to call off the Moby Dick's descent. They search desperately for other ways to protect Yokohama.

Summary[]

Fitzgerald defeated

Fitzgerald defeated.

Atsushi and Akutagawa summon their abilities to fight the overpowered Fitzgerald. The two continued to attack Fitzgerald.

Meanwhile, Dazai still talks to Kyōka to be able to make her pilot the drone she was still in.

Atsushi and Akutagawa continued to fight Fitzgerald, eventually defeating Fitzgerald and making him fall to his demise. Akutagawa manages to steal the control terminal before Fitzgerald falls. After getting hold of the control terminal, Atsushi stops it's self-destruct action; however, the Moby Dick continues to descend and can no longer be controlled by them.

Kyōka hears Atsushi's voice worry about the Moby Dick continuing to descend. Herman appears and reveals that someone from the outside have already infiltrated and taken control of the Moby Dick. Kyōka contacts Atsushi through the intercom and says that she has heard about the situation and can stop its descent by using the drone she was in. Atsushi then tells Kyōka to escape the drone she was in; however, she tells him she can't, considering that she is trapped in chains.

Akutagawa, Herman, and Atsushi leave the Moby Dick while the drone approaches towards the Moby Dick. The drone crashes into the Moby Dick, resulting in its crash into the sea. Atsushi, Herman, and Akutagawa land safely.

Upon landing, Atsushi is approached by Fukuzawa and Dazai. Dazai reveals that Kyōka manage to pass her entrance exam, and Fukuzawa's ability has an effect on all of agency members. Kyōka appears, revealing that her ability Demon Snow cut through the chains. Atsushi rushes over to hug her. Dazai approaches Akutagawa and praises him for becoming strong.

After the crash, Ango is seen at the scene and approaches Herman for his information about the Moby Dick, to which the latter eventually joins him for investigation.

The other members of the Guild including Twain, Steinbeck, and Louisa May, are seen discussing the fate of Guild. Twain reveals that he'll go back home and work on his autobiography. Louisa May will look for Fitzgerald. On the other hand, Steinbeck plans to stop the insurgency happening within the Guild now that it doesn't have a leader. Lovecraft appears from behind and decides to rest in the water.

At the front of the agency office, Atsushi accompanies Kyōka. Upon opening the door, Kyōka was welcomed by the agency as she was now a member. The Agency members celebrate. In the middle of the celebration, Kunikida gives an earful to the two but eventually gives them praise. Atsushi apologizes to Naomi and Haruno for hurting them back during Q's curse.

Mori together with Kōyō and Chūya also celebrate after the Guild war. Dazai, on the other hand, meets up with Hirotsu to thanked him for bringing Akutagawa to the Moby Dick.

A man was seen talking about the failure of the Moby Dick's plan. Behind him is the pastor of the Guild, Hawthorne, joining his plan to help Mitchell get out of her coma.
