At the Port in the Sky (Part 3) (空ノ港ニテ(其の三), Sora no Minato nite (Sono San)?) is the 57th episode of Bungo Stray Dogs anime series and the seventh episode of the fifth season.

Synopsis[]

As Atsushi races to find Teruko, Kenji arrives to help Aya and Bram escape the airport.[1]

Summary[]

Dazai chooses Sigma as his weapon

Dazai chooses Sigma as his weapon in escaping Meursault.

Nikolai further explains his game to Dazai and Fyodor, particularly the intensive defenses of Meursault. He lets each of them choose one of four items to escape with before they get killed by the poison within 30 minutes: a radio used by armed guards, a security key card, leftover coin bombs, and a satellite phone. Fyodor chooses the security key card, while Dazai chooses Sigma, much to all the others' surprise.

Aya and Bram surrounded by airport vampires

Aya and Bram cornered by airport vampires.

With the airport on lockdown, Aya and Bram are caught by an airport vampire. Meanwhile, Sigma is confused and irked by Dazai's antics instead of escaping, though Fyodor himself still has not made his move. As Aya attempts to outrun airport vampires, Kenji arrives and subdues the vampires. Given Dazai's current silly behavior, Sigma reckons that he will not defeat Fyodor and vows to find his own home without anyone using him again. However, Dazai promises to get him out alive.

Chuya as one of Fyodor's pawns in Meursault

Chūya arrives in Meursault as one of Fyodor's pawns.

The intruder continues to crush Meursault's forces, whom Dazai becomes aware of as said to him by an "angel". The intruder, Chūya turned as a vampire, arrives as one of his pawns at Fyodor's aid. At the same time, Nikolai retreats and leaves the two-on-two battle between Dazai and Sigma against Fyodor and Chūya. After incapacitating the vampires, Kenji enjoins Aya and Bram to flee with him safely. Their plan is interrupted by Tetchō's arrival, who is bent on interrogating the Agency about Jōno's disappearance.

Tetcho and Kenji in a standoff

Tetchō versus Kenji.

Atsushi, on Ranpo's orders, dashes out to locate Teruko, who finds and accosts him. Rather than fight her, he lets her view a video of Tachihara claiming the Agency's innocence. She then reluctantly agrees to meet with Ranpo as the Agency's strategist in the end. Kenji and Tetchō engage on equal footing in a battle of strength, though the Hunting Dog eventually gains the upper hand.
