The Waterfall Spirit Lord's Waterfall / Evening / Light Rain (滝霊王の滝/夕刻/霧雨, Taki Reiō no Raki / Yūkoku / Kirisame?) is the prologue chapter of the Bungo Stray Dogs Gaiden manga.

Ayatsuji lists Kyougoku's crimes.

At an unknown place, Ayatsuji is seen giving a statement to Kyōgoku saying that from that point onward, death will arrive to greet him. However, Kyōgoku chuckles at Ayatsuji's statement. Ayatsuji then tells him not to laugh at him and asks him if remembers the crimes he committed in the past. Kyōgoku replies what are those crimes and describes himself as a law-abiding citizen. Ayatsuji then begins to list Kyōgoku's crimes including 38 counts of instigation to murder, 29 of extortion, and 100 of charges of robbery, abduction, and assault - tempted or not.

He further continues to say that even though there were a lot of crimes, Kyōgoku never dirtied his hands since other criminals do the bidding causing the government not to be able to catch him but then Ayatsuji shows a "coin" and tells Kyōgoku that the chasing will end there. Ayatsuji then tells Kyōgoku that the coin is proof that he led the atrocity at a museum earlier in their talk. Ayatsuji further explains that the coin was used to beat the victim and a trick to hide the murder weapon but the coin had the victims and his pant's blood on them. Ayatsuji then tells Kyōgoku to apologized to the dead in the underworld to which Kyōgoku list the possible underworlds - the realm of the dead, land of the roots, Naraka, and Sheol. Ayatsuji responds with "Hades". Ayatsuji then tells Kyōgoku that he wastes his time over such things but Kyōgoku replies that to him, he cares about that matter.

Ayatsuji then tells him that no matter scheme or who he murders is not of his concern, for he has no qualification to talk about the preciousness of life and he doesn't wish to, however, he tells Kyōgoku that he has killed too many. With this statement, Ayatsuji throws the coin. Kyōgoku asks him if it's okay to throw the coin since it is his piece of evidence. Ayatsuji replies that it doesn't matter anymore since Kyōgoku will have a death of falling and gives Kyōgoku an advance notice. Kyōgoku smiles back and tells that death by falling is not bad.

Ayatsuji then tells him that he won't survive the height and that the parameters are already surrounded by police and he has no escape. Kyōgoku then tells that their showdown is truly enjoyable however their game was nothing more than an unveiling ceremony. Kyōgoku also tells Ayatsuji that he cannot win against him and that Ayatsuji's fate is already determined to be defeat. He then tells Ayatsuji that his final notice is wrong and voluntarily jumps from the cliff while laughing.
